Highschools
Almost every state had accommodated public schooling by the Civil War. Those students who attended school left within four years and a vast minority accelerated on to high school. By the early 1900 more than half a million students were enrolled in high school. The schools' system grew to include civics, science, and social studies courses. Other Courses were also provided for males who planned to move into an occupation of industrial jobs in drafting, carpentry, and mechanics. Also females who wanted to advance in office work.
